City lawyers say documents requested in civil complaint have already been provided
Legal proceedings continued this week in Mohave Superior Court, as Lake Havasu City’s legal counsel prepares to fight a potential $20 million lawsuit on accusations of excessive force used by police officers in an arrest last year.
Phoenix-based Mills+Woods Law Firm is preparing to represent 24-year-old David H. Adams in a lawsuit related to the arrest and use of force by Lake Havasu City Police officers (and one Mohave County Sheriff’s deputy) at Adams’ home last year. Mills+Woods sought records in the case as early as June, after Adams’ arrest on charges including assault per domestic violence, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest.
